La Maillerie, located between Villeneuve-d'Ascq and Croix, has been designed as a neighbourhood where everyone can find a place for themselves: a nod to the industrial history of knitwear and textiles. The name "la Mailerie" is inspired by the history of the site that once was one of the northern textile industry's jewels - 3 Suisses. First, a spinning mill, then a mail-order giant. An act that Maillerie wants to immortalize, weaving not wool or cotton threads, but residents, passers-by, workers ... who come into contact with it every day - a district, like a spinning mill that weaves human bonds. La Maillerie is an innovative urban project that does not hesitate to experiment and initiate new ways of interaction between residents. The investment proves that the neighbourhood can provide answers to today's economic, social and environmental challenges.

The mixed-use development includes 700 apartments, over 4,200 m2 of hotel space, 6,000 m2 of commercial space and 3,000 m2 of recreational space, as well as parking for 750 vehicles.
